Brookwood's "The Wiz" takes 2nd Place at Regional One Act Competition

Lawrenceville, GA - Brookwood's musical theater production of "The Wiz" was a hit at the Regional One Act Competition taking home the Second Place trophy. Parkview High School won 1st place with a hilarious 15 minute skit called "The Part Of Della".
Ben Thorpe (left) was named as Best Actor at the competition for his comic turn as the Elvis inspired Cowardly Lion.
Galen Crawley, who played Dorothy Gale and Gretchen Gordon, who played the witch Addaperle were both named to the competition's All Star Cast (right).
Patty Lindahl (left), who co-directed the production with Ken Lindahl was
beaming after the awards ceremony - unforeseen delays in obtaining show rights left Brookwood with a full month less to prepare "The Wiz" for competition - so this win was no small achievement for Brookwood's Theatre program.
