"Call backs chose her too soon But it was a special production She plays a part we can not see She sings a song we can not hear

She became a star”

Katrina Gayle Easter
1971-1987

The Katrina Easter Memorial Scholarship was established in the fall of 1987 in the memory of Katrina Easter. Katrina was an enthusiastic participant in the Performing Arts Department at Brookwood High School. Her contagious spirit and love for the theater affected all those who knew her. A drunk driver took Katrina from us in 1987..

Her friends and classmates established a scholarship fund in her memory, which is maintained today by the Brookwood Performing Arts Boosters. Each year a scholarship is awarded at the Performing Arts banquet to an outstanding senior participating in chorus, dance or drama and who is planning to pursue a career in the performing arts.
