International Thespian Induction

On Thurs, Sept. 2, in the Theater, The Brookwood High School Theatre Arts Department held an induction, for seventeen performing arts students, into the International Thespian Honor Society.
The ceremony was conducted by troupe officers; President: Corinne Weintraube, Vice-President: Nathan Boyd, Treasure: Holly Belcastro, Secretary: Gabby Arenas, and Public Relations: Peter Nelson.
The following students were inducted (see photo); Erica Andrews, Gabby Beteag, Eleanor Bonner, Sarah Bess Jones, Amanda Malone, Ramon Cortes, Nikki Ghimire, Rachel Kneeland, Derrien Lewis-Evans, Mack Mothorp, Freling Scarborough, John Sliger, Cecily Tartaglion, Matt Tito, Mark Walker, Corinne Weintraub, and Sam Whiteside.
Georgia Thespians is a chapter of The Thespians Honor Society which was established in 1929 by a group of college and high school teachers in Fairmont, West Virginia. They named their organization for Thespis, the Greek who, according to legend, was the first actor; their guiding principle was a dedication to excellence in theatre arts in secondary schools.
Sponsors for troupe 3678 are theatre teachers, Ken and Patty Lindahl.
